Edinburgh to face Bath at Meggetland

Edinburgh will take on English Premiership side Bath at the city’s Meggetland Sports Complex on Friday 17 August (kick-off 7.30pm).

The match, in partnership with new main club sponsor Principal & Prosper, will be the first chance for supporters to see some of Richard Cockerill’s summer signings in action – including props Pietro Ceccarelli and Pierre Schoeman, back-row Senitiki Nayalo, stand-off Simon Hickey and centres Matt Scott and Juan Pablo Socino.

The match will also be the first time the players will wear the new Macron playing kit which is set to be launched in the build-up to the fixture.

Bath will travel north with former Edinburgh captain Todd Blackadder in charge (now Bath Director of Rugby). The New Zealander made 77 appearances for the club between 2001 and 2004.

Tickets for the match are on sale now and are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for under-18’s. The fixture – which is Edinburgh’s only home pre-season match of the 2018/19 campaign - is included in the Season Ticket Member package.

The ground will be fully unreserved in the Main Stand, around the pitchside and on the terrace.
