Nel in line for half-century as nine selected for All Blacks Test

Tighthead prop and club centurion WP Nel is in line to make his 50th appearance for Scotland as Gregor Townsend names nine Edinburgh Rugby players in his team to face New Zealand at BT Murrayfield this Sunday (13 November, kick-off 2.15pm) – live on Premier Sports.

Nel – who made his international debut against Italy in 2015 – arrived in Scotland over a decade ago and is now set to celebrate a milestone appearance for his adopted country.

Edinburgh are once again well represented in the pack as Pierre Schoeman (loosehead prop), Grant Gilchrist (lock), Jamie Ritchie (back-row) – who once again skippers the side- and Hamish Watson (back-row) all start against the All Blacks.

Wing duo Duhan van der Merwe and Darcy Graham continue on opposite flanks while the aforementioned Nel, Blair Kinghorn and Mark Bennett are all named among the replacements.
