Pierre Schoeman, Viliame Mata, Henry Immelman and Sam Skinner are all nominated for the award after impressing in January’s fixtures which saw the capital side face off against Zebre Parma, Castres Olympique, Saracens and Cell C Sharks.

Supporters can now vote using the poll below which will close at 5pm on Sunday 12 February.

The winner of the award will have £500 donated to their charity of choice, courtesy of Main Club Partner Scottish Building Society.

Pierre Schoeman
The vocal cries of ‘Schoeeee’ were ringing around The DAM throughout January as Pierre Schoeman continued his excellent run of form in the Edinburgh front-row.

Schoeman was named Star of the Match in the sensational home win against Saracens where he contributed with the go-ahead score and an outrageous, game-leading, 21 carries.

Viliame Mata
The Fijian international has enjoyed a sensational start to 2023 with a string of stellar performances in the capital-back-row.

A game-changing cameo from the bench inspired Edinburgh to a late come-from-behind win against Zebre Parma, before the number 8 crossed the whitewash in the away Heineken Champions Cup victory against Castres Olympique.

Mata’s strong run of form continued against both Saracens and Cell C Sharks where his physicality in the loose provided Edinburgh with constant go-forward in attack.

Chosen charity: Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity

Henry Immelman
The full-back returned from injury against Castres Olympique where his contributions as both a safe pair of hands in Edinburgh’s back-three and a lethal weapon in attack were key to the vital European victory.

Immelman was perhaps Edinburgh’s best player when Cell C Sharks visited DAM Health Stadium in the BKT United Rugby Championship late last month.

A perfectly judged 50-22 spiral set up a pushover try for Adam McBurney before Immelman added the finishing touches to a coast-to-coast score that had the Edinburgh faithful on their feet.

Sam Skinner
The Scotland star returned from injury against Zebre Parma where his leadership and experience helped guide a young and much-changed Edinburgh side to a come-from-behind victory.

Skinner featured at blindside flanker against Castres Olympique before returning to the second-row against Saracens where his work rate and precision at line out time were both vital in the famous European victory.
