22 Oct 2026Edinburgh Rugby has issued the following squad update ahead of Friday's BKT United Rugby Championship match against the 10bet Lions at Hive Stadium.
Marshall Sykes, Grant Gilchrist and Rhys Litterick
Have all made successful returns following their respective injuries.
Duhan van der Merwe
Has recovered fully from a foot/ankle complaint suffered during summer.
Wes Goosen
Reintegrating into training following his hamstring injury, looking to build his rugby exposure prior to return to play.
Darcy Graham
Has had some calf tightness following his return to play against Toulon. Kept out this weekend as a precaution and reassessed next week.
Freddy Douglas
Suffered a concussion during training and unavailable this weekend.
Luke Crosbie
Making strides in his recovery following a hamstring injury. Expected to resume training in November.
Dylan Richardson
Successful abdominal surgery looking for a return in December.
Ben Muncaster
Successful ankle surgery looking for a return in late December.
Ben Vellacott
Progressing through early training integration following shoulder surgery, looking for a return in December.
Jack Brown
Back in the gym working on his strength in prep for a return to running soon.
D’arcy Rae
Showing good signs of progress following a back complaint. Looking to build some consistency in training prior to announcing his return to play target.
