Black Lion come out on top against Edinburgh/Glasgow combined U23 team

An Edinburgh/Glasgow combined U23 team faced Georgian outfit Black Lion at Hive Stadium this afternoon in a behind closed doors friendly.

The visiting Georgian professional side came out on top 0-38 in a physical encounter with the combined U23 intercity outfit (supported by a few overage players), scoring six tries to claim a deserved win.

Both Edinburgh and Glasgow were able to give valuable game time to a number of youngsters, who gained plenty of experience going up against a strong squad containing Georgian internationalists with Rugby World Cup experience.
