Openside flanker Connor Boyle is handed the captain’s armband for tomorrow’s Edinburgh ‘A’ fixture against Ealing Trailfinders at Trailfinders Sports Club (Saturday 26 October, kick-off 3pm).
The flanker, who missed last week’s win against Glasgow ‘A’ through injury, leads the side alongside vice-captain Cammy Scott, who is handed the reigns at fly-half.
Nathan Sweeney – who made his injury comeback in the 29-12 win last time out – starts at full-back, with pro-academy duo of Lewis Wells and Jack Brown named on the wings.
The midfield partnership sees pro-academy inside-centre Findlay Thomson start alongside Glasgow Warriors counterpart Ben Salmon.
Scott starts in the 10 jersey, having featured from the bench in Edinburgh’s recent URC wins against the DHL Stormers and Cardiff, alongside pro-academy scrum-half Hamish MacArthur.
Melrose loosehead prop Ben White starts for the capital, with Ollie Blyth-Lafferty (tighthead) and Harri Morris (hooker) completing the front row.
In the engine room, Euan McVie and Rob Carmichael continue their impressive combination at lock, the pair having started together for all of the Edinburgh ‘A’ matches so far this campaign.
Head Coach Rob Christie names an experienced back-row, with captain Boyle joined by senior squad members Tom Dodd (number eight) and Liam McConnell (blindside).
