With only four games remaining in the Celtic Challenge season, Cruikshank is looking for her squad to convert flashes of brilliance into a complete, disciplined performance on the road.
While Edinburgh have shown they can compete with the best in the league, consistency remains the final piece of the puzzle. Cruikshank is clear that “close” is no longer enough.
“We’ve seen parts of real quality over the last few rounds, but we haven’t fully strung it together yet. At this level, you can’t afford to switch off.
“We need a full 80-minute performance on Saturday; we know exactly what is expected of us now that we’re in the business end of the season.”
The memory of the recent loss to Thunder is still fresh, providing plenty of fuel for the trip to Llanelli.
“It’s about bouncing back from that defeat and delivering a performance we can be proud of.
“Going on the road to a venue like Parc y Scarlets is always a massive challenge, but it’s one the players are incredibly excited for.”
With the standings tightening up, every point is now a prisoner. Cruikshank believes the squad is mentally prepared for the knockout-style pressure of the remaining fixtures.
“We have to approach these remaining fixtures with a ‘must-win’ mentality. There are only four games left in this Celtic Challenge campaign, and we have to treat every single one like a final if we want to get to where we want to be. It’s a big test this weekend, but we’re ready.”
