New Unsigned Stage coming to Hive Stadium

New Unsigned Stage coming to Hive Stadium

Edinburgh Rugby fans can look forward to an all-new ‘Unsigned Stage’ this season, as the club shines a light on up-and-coming musical acts in the Hive Stadium Fan Zone.

Alongside regular Fan Zone act, BLEEKER, the Unsigned Stage will provide the pre-match soundtrack for every home fixture.

From singalong classics to acoustic sets, the Unsigned Stage gives Scottish artists the platform to kickstart matchday in the capital, and bring the energy ahead of kick-off.

The Unsigned Stage is the latest enhancement to the club’s matchday experience announced in the build-up to the club’s home BKT URC opener against Emirates Lions on Saturday 28 October (kick-off 5pm).

Edinburgh Rugby Head of Marketing and Communications, Michael James, said: “We’re delighted to unveil a brand-new feature of the ever-popular Hive Stadium Fan Zone.

“Live music is a massive part of matchday in the capital and the Unsigned Stage allows us to bring a new sound to our fans every week, while giving exposure to a number of local acts who can get the Fan Zone bouncing before kick-off.

“As a club, we strive continuously to improve our matchday experience, whether that’s in The Clubhouse, in the Fan Zone, or inside the stadium. We want fans to leave Hive Stadium having not just enjoyed the 80 minutes on the pitch, but everything else that comes hand-in-hand with a matchday that starts long before kick-off.”

A full list of artists will be revealed ahead of the club’s BKT United Rugby Championship opener against Emirates Lions on Saturday 28 October (kick-off 5pm). All unsigned acts will be paid by the club to perform this upcoming season.
