Open training session: Meet the squad ahead of Ospreys!

5 Apr 2023

Edinburgh Rugby supporters are invited to DAM Health Stadium on Friday 14 April for an open training session ahead of the club’s final home game of the season against Ospreys.

Running as part of a Fan Appreciation weekend, gates will open at 10.30am ahead of the ‘team run’ session starting at 11am. Training is expected to run for 40 minutes before fans get the chance to meet the senior squad.

With Q&As from coaches and players running throughout, supporters will have also the opportunity to hear from the squad ahead of the team’s home finale the following night.

All those attending must sign-up via Eventbrite. Admission is £2 per person with all proceeds going towards My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. Capacity for this event is capped at 500.

Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Douglas Struth said: “We’re delighted to host an open training session as part of our Fan Appreciation weekend, with our final home fixture against Ospreys dedicated to our growing loyal support, who’ve backed the team throughout an up-and-down campaign.

“With the session taking place during the Easter holidays, it’s a brilliant opportunity to bring the whole family down to the Stadium where there will be ample opportunity to mingle, chat and grab autographs or selfies with our players ahead of matchday.

“I’d encourage all fans to get along next Friday and help us kick-off a cracking weekend of rugby in the capital.”

With food and beverage stalls available in the stadium Fan Zone and the Scottish Rugby Store open throughout the session, there’s plenty on the go as the team are put through their paces ahead of matchday.

All those registered for the open session via Eventbrite will be emailed with information on arriving at the event.
