Scotland Women gear up for WXV2 with Autumn Tests at Hive Stadium

17 Jul 2024

Edinburgh Rugby is delighted to announce that Scotland Women will be taking on Wales and Fiji in a thrilling double-header of international fixtures this autumn, with both matches taking place at Hive Stadium.

These crucial competitive Tests will be a vital part of Scotland’s preparations for the upcoming WXV2 tournament held in South Africa later this year.

The first match will see Scotland face off against Wales on Friday 6 September (kick-off 7.35pm). This will be a highly anticipated rematch after Scotland’s historic victory over Wales in the 2024 Guinness Six Nations, ending their 20-year winless streak in Cardiff.

Following this, on Saturday 14 September (kick-off 4.45pm), Scotland Women will take on Fiji for the first time ever at Hive Stadium.

The Fijiana side, known for their exciting brand of rugby, recently topped the table in the 2024 Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship.

Head Coach Bryan Easson is looking forward to the challenge:

“Having the opportunity to host Wales and Fiji at Hive Stadium is incredibly exciting. These matches will be crucial for our development ahead of WXV2 in South Africa. We’re looking forward to putting in strong performances and giving our fans a fantastic experience before we head to Cape Town.”
