Squad update
Edinburgh Rugby has issued the following squad update ahead of this Saturday’s BKT United Rugby Championship match against Connacht at Hive Stadium (11 November, kick-off 7.35pm) – live on Viaplay.
Back-row Hamish Watson suffered a facial injury in Saturday’s Round 3 fixture against Leinster and is expected to miss several weeks.
Wingers Darcy Graham (hip) and Emiliano Boffelli (toe) continue to progress well through their respective rehab programmes. Graham is expected back later this month, with Boffelli set to return mid-December.
Back-row Jamie Ritchie (shoulder) returned to training this week and is expected to be available for selection for next weekend’s Vodacom Bulls match at Hive Stadium (Friday 17 November, kick-off 7.35pm).
Number 8 Viliame Mata (shoulder) also returned to training this week and is available for selection for Saturday’s Connacht match.
Back-row Ben Muncaster (knee) made his return to play for FOSROC Super Series side Watsonians on Saturday, playing 40 minutes in the victory over the FOSROC Futures XV.
Prop Luan de Bruin (back), lock Sam Skinner (knee) and Scott Steele (hip) are all expected to return to full fitness later this month.
Prop Mikey Jones (ankle), full-back Nathan Sweeney (hamstring) and back-row Cam Neild (knee) are expected to return to training in December.
