Edinburgh Rugby fans can now sign up for free to watch the team train at The University of St Andrews on Thursday 27 July!
Running from 2-5pm at University Park (St Leonard’s Road, St Andrews, KY16 9DY) fans can watch the team be put through their paces while enjoying plenty of community activity on the day to keep the whole family entertained.
The session held in The Home of Golf is the first of capital side’s open day ‘Summer Sessions’, with further training events scheduled at Gala RFC’s Netherdale on Friday 25 August, before returning back to Edinburgh for an open day (date and timings TBC) in September.
Next month’s open session in St Andrews will also give fans the opportunity to meet the Edinburgh Rugby squad, with community games and a signing/selfie meet-and-greet planned following the rugby session.
Supporters can also hear from the players and coaches on all things pre-season preparation with a number of in-session Q&As planned, while plenty of the club’s sponsors and partners will also be in attendance at the event, bringing further activities to the open session.
Check out the open day event timeline below:
2pm: Gates open
2.30pm: Session begins
4pm: Session to end
4-5pm: Community games and selfie / signing session
The open session is the perfect event for the summer holidays, so why not bring along the whole family!
Please include a message in your sign-up if you require accessible parking at the event. Parking is available for free at nearby Petheram Bridge Car Park which is a short walk from University Park pitches.
Please note: Fans that turn up having not signed up will still be admitted, however registering helps us manage the day appropriately for estimate attendance.
The capital squad will also be out and about in the local community with ‘Our Burgh’ visits planned for rugby clubs across the team’s supporting regions, throughout July and August, including trips to Perthshire RFC and Selkirk Youth Club.
