Edinburgh and Scotland stars Alex Stewart and Molly Poolman have both been selected for this weekend’s Guinness Women’s Six Nations opener against Wales at the Principality Stadium.
Flanker Stewart is handed a start by new head coach Sione Fukofoka, while tighthead prop Poolman is named in the replacements.
The duo have both featured heavily in Edinburgh’s Celtic Challenge side for the past few seasons, and will look to take their club form onto the international stage for the Six Nations.
A number of other players in the squad have previously featured for Edinburgh Rugby, including wingers Shona Campbell (#39) and Rhona Lloyd (#31), centre Emma Orr (#24), scrum-half Leia Brebner-Holden (#16), and replacement back Lucia Scott (#38).
