Scotland Women set for DAM Health Stadium send-off
Edinburgh Rugby fans will have the opportunity to give Scotland Women the send-off they deserve at this Saturday night’s BKT URC opener against Dragons RFC (17 September, kick-off 7.35pm).
The cancellation of last weekend’s Test match against Spain meant the national side were unable to see fans ahead of departing for next month’s tournament in New Zealand.
However, as Edinburgh gear up to kick-start their 22/23 campaign this weekend, the Scotland Women squad and staff will attend the Round 1 match-up, with a half-time farewell lap planned for the national side.
Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director Douglas Struth says the club ‘can’t wait’ to wish the squad good luck at Saturday night’s fixture, with record crowds roaring on Scotland at DAM Health Stadium so far this season.
Struth said: “Scotland Women have been quite at home at DAM Health Stadium, with great crowds cheering on the squad so far this season, so we can’t wait to welcome them back home on Saturday night for opening game of the 22/23 campaign.
“As the team prepare to set off for next month’s showpiece event in New Zealand, it will be a great chance for our fans to give the Scotland squad and staff the send-off they richly deserve during the half-time farewell lap.
“We look forward to seeing the squad on Saturday night and they’ll no doubt get a great reception from the Edinburgh Rugby faithful.”
Edinburgh Rugby take on Dragons RFC this Saturday night in BKT URC kick-off clash that can’t be missed.
Supporters are encouraged to buy their tickets now to secure the best possible seat or standing terrace position available at DAM Health Stadium.
