22/23 Champions Cup group stage schedule confirmed

7 Oct 2022

The date, kick-off times and broadcast details for Edinburgh Rugby’s 22/23 Heineken Champions Cup group stage fixtures have today been confirmed by tournament organisers EPCR.

Supporters can now plan ahead and get set for four huge European match-ups as the capital club face English Premiership giants Saracens and Top 14 runners-up Castres home and away.

Edinburgh Rugby will begin their European campaign on the road to Saracens at StoneX Stadium on Sunday 11 December (kick-off 3.15pm) in a rematch of last season’s famous Challenge Cup victory in the English capital.

The North vs South clash will be live on ITV giving all non-travelling Edinburgh Rugby supporters the opportunity to get behind the capital side from home, free of charge, on mainstream TV.

Mike Blair’s side then have a six-day turnaround when they host Castres on Saturday 17 December (kick-off 1pm) in an unmissable European match-up, and the first-ever Champions Cup fixture to be played at DAM Health Stadium.

Edinburgh then travel to Castres in Round 3 where they’ll face-off against the Top 14 powerhouse at Stade Pierre-Fabre on Sunday 15 January (kick-off 1pm BST/2pm local), with the match on BT Sport.

The club is looking into a fan travel package for the match in Castres and supporters can register their interest by filling in this quick and easy form here.

All attention turns back to the Scottish capital for what is set to be an electric group stage finale as Edinburgh host Saracens at DAM Health Stadium on Sunday 22 January (kick-off 5.30pm).

Ticketing and travel details for Edinburgh Rugby’s 22/23 Heineken Champions Cup group stage fixtures will be confirmed by the club at a later date.

Edinburgh Rugby supporters should secure their Season Ticket before they go off sale at 4pm today (Friday 7 October) to guarantee your place at DAM Health Stadium for both blockbuster home group matches.
