Our Burgh Summer Sessions back for 2025
Edinburgh Rugby is thrilled to announce the return of its popular summer outreach programme, ‘Our Burgh Summer Sessions’, which will see players connecting with local clubs across our supporting regions throughout the off-season.
This initiative reinforces the club’s commitment to grassroots rugby, bringing the professional game directly to the heart of our community.
Throughout July, August and early September, Edinburgh Rugby players will be out and about, sharing their expertise and passion for the game with aspiring young players.
The ‘Our Burgh Summer Sessions’ are designed to inspire the next generation of rugby talent and strengthen the bonds between Edinburgh Rugby and its local clubs.
From skill-building drills to fun, interactive games, the players will be on hand to provide guidance and encouragement, ensuring a memorable experience for all involved at each club.
Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director Douglas Struth said: “Our outreach work is an absolutely vital part of what we do as a club, and these summer sessions are a cornerstone of our off-season activity.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity for our players to get out into the community, connect directly with younger players and supporters, and truly immerse themselves in the grassroots game.
“These young players are the future of rugby, and indeed the lifeblood of our team, so fostering that connection and inspiring them is hugely important to us.”
