How much has the organisation grown since being established in 2002?

We have grown from 6 staff in 2002 based in Prestonfield to over 100 in 2024. We opened our second branch in Paisley in 2015, our Stenhouse branch came the year after in 2016 and our 4th came in November of 2022 in Livingston.

We have plans for more in the not-too-distant future- watch this space!

What are some of your biggest achievements as a business?

Being able to offer all of our staff private healthcare. We also match each staff members’ contribution to their pension each month. We are always looking for new ways to empower and support our staff. We feel these 2 policies are a great way of doing so.

Is there a particular project you are most proud of as an organisation?

We donated all of the material required to build a recent Carbon Net Zero Home at The Energy Training Academy in Dalkeith.

This Net Zero Home will be used to educate the future generations for years to come in the importance of renewable energy, sustainable practices and responsible resource procurement.

What does St Andrews Timber want to achieve in 2024?

We are striving to continue to offer an unrivalled service to our customers and keep our prices extremely competitive. It is tough at the moment, and we are trying to keep the costs to the customer as low as possible.

You have chosen to sponsor Harry Paterson – how proud a moment was it to see him make his Scotland debut?

It was an extremely proud moment for us. Harry Paterson making the starting squad being so young is truly an achievement, and we feel very lucky to be able to support him.

How excited are you to be part of the player sponsorship family in 2024

We’re really chuffed to be on board with Harry and the team this year. As mentioned, being a local Scottish company able to be involved with such a great Scottish sports organisation is a really proud thing for us. At St.Andrews’ Timber & Building Supplies we are all right behind Harry and the team.
