Can you tell us a bit about yourself / your business and the journey that brought you here?

The journey of Angus Alchemy is rooted in the camaraderie and passion we found as keen Rugby followers. Every product we create has a little bit of our own Rugby journey invested in it, reflecting the dedication and community spirit of the sport.

This is why we genuinely welcome the opportunity to support and be part of the team. Our focus is on crafting unique, local flavours designed for quality time, perfect to be sipped with friends and families alike.

We envision our distinctive flavours being enjoyed wherever people come together to celebrate, from community events to the most exciting venues.  We are ready to bring our unique taste to your fan base

What makes you or your organisation unique, and what values are most important to you?

What sets us apart is the powerful symbolism at the heart of our brand. Our insignia features the Cinquefoil, an ancient heraldic device taken from the Angus Coat of Arms. It embodies the very values that drive us: Honour, Strength, Loyalty, and Power.

For us, these are not just words, but the guiding principles that parallel the dedication required on the pitch. These traits are key to our organisation, and they are perfectly reflected in the leadership and commitment required of a Rugby Captain.

What inspired you to support this player as a sponsor?

The decision to sponsor Magnus came down to finding a shared sense of character and fun. At Angus Alchemy, we are serious about the quality of our craft, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously when it comes to life outside of that.

In fact, we genuinely love to be a wee bit Cheeky and inject a bit of levity and good humour into everything we do, it’s part of our brand’s DNA. Magnus may possess these same traits which instantly resonated with us.

However, in his case, these traits are clearly coupled with outstanding dedication, proven leadership, and exceptional skill on the pitch! It’s that wonderful combination, the serious talent mixed with the relatable, fun-loving nature, that makes him the perfect fit to represent the Angus Alchemy spirit. We believe this blend of high performance and great personality is a recipe for success, both in our bottles and on the field.

In what ways does the player reflect qualities or values that resonate with you or your organisation?

The qualities we see in the player, particularly their dedication to teamwork and encouraging others, are not just admired, they are absolutely fundamental to the way Angus Alchemy operates. Our business ethos is built entirely on that foundation of collaboration. We are an inclusive environment where several family members and friends have become valued colleagues.

Seeing Magnus exemplify those same values of shared responsibility and lifting those around them makes the partnership feel incredibly natural and meaningful. To be able to back a player who embodies our own team mentality, and especially one who carries the responsibility of leadership, makes supporting the Captain an honour that resonates deeply with our organisational heart.

What do you admire most about the player, both in their sporting career and as an individual?

What we admire most about Magnus is the profound level of true grit and determination he has consistently demonstrated throughout his career. Sport, much like business, is rarely a straight line, and to see him navigate significant setbacks and changes with such tenacity is truly inspiring.

It’s the mark of a great competitor and, more importantly, a resilient individual, that he’s been able to absorb those challenges and use them as fuel rather than letting them extinguish his passion.

Magnus has shown immense strength by keeping his head high. It shows a powerful understanding that true success isn’t just about the peak moments but about remembering where you came from and the principles that guide you.

This blend of unwavering effort and authentic character is why he is so widely admired and respected by his peers and fans alike.

How do you hope this sponsorship will benefit your brand / business?

Our greatest hope for this collaboration is to forge a true partnership, built on mutual respect and shared objectives. We are committed to actively celebrating and supporting the player and club in their endeavours, seeing our role as an extension of their team both on and off the pitch. We want to be deeply invested in their success story.

We anticipate the core benefits of increased brand awareness, particularly within the passionate and highly engaged sporting community. However, the true value lies in connecting with the committed fans.

We believe that by demonstrating genuine support for their club and captain, we can cultivate a level of trust and loyalty that transcends simple advertising. Our goal is for the fans to view Angus Alchemy not just as a sponsor, but as a reliable, quality brand that stands proudly alongside their team, leading to a long-term, beneficial relationship for everyone involved.

What are your hopes for the future of this sponsorship and your relationship with the player and Edinburgh Rugby?

Our primary hope is quite simply to create a strong relationship that works for all parties involved. We don’t view this sponsorship as a one-off seasonal commitment; we see it as the foundation for a deeply embedded partnership.

Our aim is to foster a connection with Magnus and Edinburgh Rugby that is mutually beneficial, delivering value through shared community engagement and celebrating milestones together.

If you could share one message with supporters / local businesses about your involvement, what would it be?

Our message is simple, yet powerful, and reflects the very spirit of our partnership with Edinburgh Rugby: Support local, create experiences and encourage others.
