Ball Delivery
Our first European home game of the season will see us wear our 30th anniversary European jersey. It honours three members of Edinburgh’s first professional side from 1996, who all featured in the club’s first ever European match against Bath.
Former captains Scott Hastings and Ally Donaldson both passed away this year, and flanker Graham Dall passed away last year. Each of them will have their initials and heritage number on the 13, 10 and 7 jerseys.
To mark the occasion, Scott’s brother Gavin Hastings (#854) and Ally’s daughter Katie Donaldson will deliver the match ball ahead of kick-off. Make sure you give them a warm Edinburgh welcome!
The Team of ‘96
At half-time, we’ll welcome the team of 1996 onto the pitch. Make sure you show your support for the trailblazers of our first ever European side, and stick around to hear from them in a half-time Q&A.
Community Team of the Week
Boroughmuir RFC are our Community Team of the Week. Look out for them taking centre stage at the break in the Scottish Building Society half-time minis!
