Connacht hold firm after some dangerous attacks from Edinburgh. We lead at the interval!

Connacht are pinged, and we go to the corner!

Carty slots the penalty easily.

Javan infringes at the breakdown to give Connacht a penalty infront of the sticks. Carty calls for the tee.

We’re huffing and puffing in attack, BK almost breaks through but the Galwaymen are again on hand to stop us in our tracks.

We go through the phases, but a knock on brings an end to the attack.

The maul starts rumbling well, but the Galwaymen render the ball unplayable. They’ll have the put in at the scrum, just inside their 22.

The big man makes a big turnover on his 100th appearance for the club! Healy gets us into the Connacht 22.

Connacht use their feet to get the ball out of an Edinburgh ruck – which looked suspicious, but Bill charges down the resulting kick! Connacht will have a lineout in their 22.

The flanker is having a solid outing so far, wins a steal with Connacht attacking dangerously, before punting the ball clear himself!

Boot to ball is the safest option for both teams with a greasy ball, and Healy is managing proceedings well.

However a couple of pick-and-gos get us going upfield, first Duhan, the Pierre, before Bill offloads to set Tom Dodd free. He combines with Glen Young and Ashman as we enter the Connacht 22, but the scrambling defence wins a turnover. Connacht exit, but a good attack from the home team.

The ball slips loose behind Kinghorn, he manages to regather but falls on to the ground. Connacht think they’re won a turnover, but they’re off their feet.

The Connacht runners are looking dangerous, but we hold on and force a knock on again. Healy puts boot to ball to get us away from our own try line.

Tom Dodd wins the ball back, but is pinged for holding on at the ruck. Connacht enter our 22 with the resulting penalty.

The ball is slippy so we’re putting boot to ball regularly, Healy and Shiel both putting in good nudges to put the visitors under pressure.

We thump clear to halfway – Connacht look to return the ball with interest but knock on again. Our scrum on halfway.

Connacht look to strike back immediately, but firm defence on our line forces a knock on. We’ll have the put in on our five metre line.

WHAT A START!!! It’s been a scrappy start, but we turn alive after a turnover! We quickly shift the ball to Mark Bennett who bursts through a gap, he feeds it to Goosen who has the gas to get to the corner!
