12 selected for 2025 Guinness Six Nations
Scotland have today named 12 Edinburgh Rugby players in their squad for the upcoming 2025 Guinness Six Nations.
Gregor Townsend selects three backs and nine forwards from the capital side for the upcoming tournament which kicks off against Italy at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Saturday 1 February (kick-off 2.15pm).
In the backline, star wingers Darcy Graham and Duhan van der Merwe are both selected where they’ll once again have the chance to go toe-to-toe for Scotland’s all-time try scoring record.
Matt Currie is also selected among the backs after a quality start to the season, having made his Scotland debut during last summer’s tour to the Americas.
Edinburgh are well represented among the forwards with props Pierre Schoeman and D’arcy Rae both selected alongside a trio of hookers: Ewan Ashman, Dave Cherry and Paddy Harrison.
Moving into the middle row, both Grant Gilchrist and Marshall Sykes are selected, with the latter looking to add to his one Test cap earned against Tonga in October 2021.
Townsend also selects back-row duo Jamie Ritchie and Luke Crosbie, with both players impressing in the capital side’s recent EPCR Challenge Cup win over RC Vannes.
