Edinburgh Rugby is gearing up for a crucial clash against Hollywoodbets Sharks this Friday night, but this fixture is about more than just points on the board.

Under the banner of #ChangeTheGame, the club is proud to dedicate this match to raising vital funds and awareness for its Official Charity Partner, It’s Good 2 Give.

This week, Edinburgh Rugby is shining a spotlight on the incredible work that It’s Good 2 Give does to support young cancer patients and their families across Scotland.

From practical assistance to crucial mental health support and the provision of restorative short breaks at their Ripple Retreat, It’s Good 2 Give makes a tangible difference during incredibly challenging times.

You can be part of the team that #ChangesTheGame this week! There are plenty of ways for the Edinburgh Rugby faithful to contribute and help It’s Good 2 Give continue their invaluable work:

 

  • Donate when you buy your ticket: When securing your seat for Friday’s showdown against the Sharks, you’ll have the option to add a donation to It’s Good 2 Give at checkout. Choose to donate £1, £3, or £5 and directly contribute to their vital services.
  • Text to donate: Making a difference is as easy as sending a text! Simply text IG2G followed by the amount you wish to donate (5, 10, or 20) to 70470. For example, text IG2G 10 to donate £10.

Throughout the week, Edinburgh Rugby will be sharing inspiring content and stories that highlight the impact of It’s Good 2 Give and the young people they support. Be sure to follow the club’s social media channels for these moving insights.

On match night itself, keep an eye out for a very special It’s Good 2 Give ball delivery, and there will be numerous opportunities around the stadium to make further donations to this incredible cause.

  • Practical support: Offering tangible assistance to families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer.
  • Mental health support: Funding four vital psychologist posts on children’s oncology wards in Edinburgh and Glasgow, providing crucial mental health support from the point of diagnosis.
  • The Ripple Retreat: A purpose-built haven on the shores of Loch Venachar, offering families a peaceful escape to relax, recharge, and focus on their mental wellness away from the hospital environment.
