Edinburgh Rugby is thrilled to announce that members of the Edinburgh Rugby Fans Group will have the honour of delivering the match ball ahead of this Saturday’s highly anticipated EPCR Challenge Cup Quarter-Final against Vodacom Bulls at Hive Stadium (12 April, kick-off 12.30pm).

The dedicated group, consisting of Nicola Constantinou, Zac Shepherd, Simon Boothroyd, Kevin Turner, Bryn Turner, Leanne McOmish, Darren Coutts, Jenny Casson, and Olivia Casson, will participate in the ceremonial ball delivery, sponsored by DHL, adding a special touch to the pre-match build-up of this pivotal knockout clash.

This opportunity, extended by the club, is a testament to the strong and valued relationship between Edinburgh Rugby and its passionate supporters, and serves as gesture of gratitude for the unwavering support shown throughout the season, particularly as the club enters the decisive stages of both the EPCR Challenge Cup and BKT United Rugby Championship.

Simon Boothroyd of the Edinburgh Rugby Fans Group expressed his delight, saying: “We are delighted and honoured to be asked to deliver the match ball for this extremely important match. We hope that as many people as possible turn out to cheer on the team and get us to the next stage!”

Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director Douglas Struth echoed the sentiment, emphasising the vital role of the fans at this crucial juncture. “We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our fans throughout the season,” said Struth.

“As we enter this critical phase of our campaign, fighting on two fronts in both the URC and EPCR Challenge Cup, their presence and passion at Hive Stadium will be more important than ever. We look forward to seeing the stands filled with the Edinburgh faithful, driving the team forward for the remainder of the campaign.”
