Edinburgh’s contribution spans the front row, back-row and back three. Ashman (37 caps) is included after a strong start to the season, which featured a brilliant try against RC Toulon in the EPCR Challenge Cup.
He is joined in the front row by Schoeman (52 caps). The loosehead has been a menace at the breakdown, winning three turnover penalties in Friday’s win over 10bet Lions.
Back-rower McConnell (2 caps), who made his debut against USA last November, also earns selection. He returned to action in Friday night’s bonus-point win over 10bet Lions with an industrious performance, in which he was a continuous nuisance at the lineout and carried everywhere.
In the backs, Darcy Graham (57 caps), Scotland’s leading men’s try scorer, is named after returning from a bicep injury against RC Toulon. He was kept out of Friday’s win over 10bet Lions as a precaution after picking up calf tightness.
Duhan van der Merwe (54 caps), the second-highest men’s try scorer in Scotland’s history, is also included. He made his return from injury against 10bet Lions and was impressive in 18 minutes before being taken off with a hand injury.
