Next up: Benetton

11 Oct 2025

The wait is finally over. Edinburgh Rugby are set to take to the field at Hive Stadium for their first home game of the URC season this Friday 17 October (kick-off 7.45pm), as they host Italian rivals Benetton!

The team will be fired up and ready to go after a frustratingly narrow one-point defeat to Munster in Cork last weekend.

There’s no better place to get the season back on track than in front of a passionate home crowd, and the squad will be pushing hard for a vital win to ignite their campaign.

When it comes to Edinburgh and Benetton, expect fireworks! This rivalry has been built on tight, competitive contests, often with both teams dominating their home fixtures. Benetton always brings a physical challenge, making this a must-watch battle in the capital as both teams vie for early URC bragging rights.

It’s going to be a massive night with a large crowd expected, and we’re making it even easier for students to be part of the action! Thanks to Dropkick Murphys, it’s Student Night at Hive Stadium, with tickets priced at just £10 for all students. Gather your mates and help us create a cracking atmosphere!

With this being our ‘home opener’ and a large crowd anticipated, we need the famous Hive Stadium roar to get the team over the line.

Your support is crucial! Fans are strongly encouraged to buy their tickets early in the week to avoid disappointment and secure their spot for what promises to be an epic Friday night under the lights.
