Next up: RC Toulon
The Investec Champions Cup is back as we take on RC Toulon in our European opener at Hive Stadium this Sunday (7 December).
It’s set to be a massive night of action in the Scottish capital as we take on the star-studded French outfit under the lights at Hive Stadium.
Sunday’s clash is a rematch of the famous 2018/19 home and away Champion Cup wins over Toulon which saw Edinburgh beat the French side 40-14 at Scottish Gas Murrayfield before claiming a 17-28 win at Stade Mayol.
Tickets are expected to sell quickly for Sunday’s match-up so fans are encouraged to book early to secure the best spots in Hive Stadium.

Here is a reminder of the Investec Champions Cup ahead of the club’s European campaign kicking off this weekend.
The Investec Champions Cup brings together 24 elite clubs – eight each from the English Premiership, the French TOP 14, and the BKT United Rugby Championship (URC).
The tournament is structured in two main phases.
Pool Stage
The 24 clubs are divided into four pools of six teams. To ensure cross-border competition, teams do not play clubs from their own domestic league.
Each club plays four pool matches (two home and two away) against four different opponents from the other leagues within their pool.
Knockout Stage
The top four teams from each of the four pools advance to a single-elimination Round of 16, creating a bracket of 16 teams.
Teams are seeded 1-16 based on their pool performance, with the higher seeds earning home advantage in the Round of 16 and Quarter-finals.
The competition then progresses through single-leg Quarter-finals and Semi-finals before culminating in the Final at a pre-determined neutral venue.
Crucially, the teams that finish fifth in their pool “drop down” to compete in the knockout stage of the second-tier EPCR Challenge Cup.
