Edinburgh trio named in Scotland squad ahead of France Test
Edinburgh trio Magnus Bradbury, James Johnstone and Dougie Fife have been called in to the Scotland squad ahead of Saturday’s Guinness Six Nations Test against France at Stade de France.
Former Scotland 7’s star Johnstone is named in the senior squad for the first time in his career, with the call-up following Friday night’s impressive performance against Dragons which saw the centre grab a brace of scores.
Bradbury – who has just returned from a shoulder injury which saw the back-row miss four months of game time – is named in the squad after winning man-of-the-match against Dragons in an all-action performance.
The squad selection also sees eight-times capped winger Fife named in the squad after a run of assured performances at fullback for the capital side.
Elsewhere, forwards David Cherry and Murray McCallum have returned to Edinburgh duty ahead of this weekend’s Guinness PRO14 match against Cardiff Blues at BT Murrayfield (Saturday 23 February, kick-off 7.35pm).
