FULL-TIME: EDINBURGH WIN

In the final moments of the match, Edinburgh defend Bath along their 10 meter line… we keep them out!!! THE WHISTLE BLOWS, IT’S A WIN!

GET IN!!!!

76'

Currie brothers in arms

Cameron Neild has left the field after a fantastic contribution tonight, and Tom Currie comes into the back to join brother Matt on the pitch.

71'

Edinburgh do well to disrupt

Bath have been plying the pressure and worked their way into Burgh’s grounds. Their line out on the five hasn’t gone to plan with Edinburgh disrupting matters. The ball reaches Ross McCann on the wing and he looks to get the wheels spinning in space…

We all thought he was away, but Jonny Perriman has called for a penalty and it’s Edinburgh put in at the scrum.

66'

MITCH EADIE IS INNNNN!

THAT’S HOW WE DO IT!!!! A cracking maul across the whitewash with Mitch Eadie dotting down.

A tough conversion for Charlie Savala goes unanswered.

It’s now 31-5 and there are less than 14 minutes on the clock. Let’s see what we have left in the tank…

63'

A flurry of magic…

It has been a chaotic 10 minutes with the wet conditions playing havoc for everyone, but Edinburgh have had some cracking play with the back line working the ball spectacularly through the hands to take us into Bath’s 22.

A knock on caused a penalty, with Bath given the scrum. But Edinburgh dominate it and win a penalty back!

We kick for touch, let’s see what we can do from just over 5 meters…

60'

Squad refresh underway

Liam McConnell, Charlie Shiel, Charlie Savala and Matt Currie make up the latest Edinburgh changes.

Glen Young, our captain Ben Vellacott, Cammy Scott and Mark Bennett take to the bench. Great work out there tonight boys!

54'

More Burgh changes

Welcome to the field, Chris Dean and Mitch Eadie!

Great shift from Connor Boyle and Jordan Edmunds, both showing their physicality and strength out at Hive Stadium tonight.

53'

Bath are in

A lovely bit of work from Bath from the scrum, their back line has managed to dance their way through the boys in blue with fancy footwork from Max Wright.

George Worboys has missed the conversion and the score is 26-5.

51'

Back and forth…

It’s been a game of back and forth between us and our visitors. The wet conditions are making life a bit more difficult for everyone.

The Burgh lads have knocked on and Bath get the put in at the scrum.

46'

The defence is fire!

Bath have been applying the pressure, but the Gunners keep fronting up and win the penalty when Bath are withing striking range. Class work, lads!

Cammy takes us up to the 15 for a line out.

44'

Bath make changes and moves

Bath have restarted the game with a host of fresh legs and have done well to push themselves into Burgh territory. The Burgh boys are defending well, let’s keep this up.

41'

Changes for Edinburgh

We’ve made some changes. Adam McBurney, Robin Hislop and D’Arcy Rae come on for Boan Venter, Patrick Harrison and Angus Williams. Great shift lads!

40'

We’re back! LET’S GO BURGH!

Let’s get the second half underway then, shall we?

Cammy Scott kicks us off. COME ON EDINBURGGGGHHH!

40'

Jonny Perriman calls half-time

The Burgh boys get the ball back, and we shoot for a kick through but it’s a bit over ambitious and it’s into touch.

Referee Jonny Perriam has blown the whistle for half-time.

What a half that was though! COME ON BURGH!

38'

Is there a score before half time?

A huge Burgh scrum, the forwards are smashing it up tonight! We find Jordan Edmunds on the left wing, but he’s taken down.

The conditions are wet and after keeping the ball alive for a while, it’s gone loose. Let’s try get this back lads!

31'

What were we just saying about tries? The skipper is in!

Flipping heck! That was lightening speed!

Jordan Edmunds gathers at the restart and sends a gorgeous boot down the field. With Captain Ben Vellacott in hot pursuit, he literally crashes through our sponsor boards to score beneath the posts (shout out the Scottish Building Society!).

Cammy’s added the extras again and its 26-0.

29'

SCORE TRIES IS WHAT WE DO!

The maul strikes hot and Paddy Harrison is across the whitewash again!!! We’re not able to convert but we’re leading 19-0!

27'

Cammy Scott takes us to the 15

Solid scrum from the pack, we win the penalty and we’re making our way out with a nudge to touch from Cammy.

24'

Bath are in our half for the first time

A penalty for Bath sees them strike the ball into Burgh’s quarters for a line out. It doesn’t go to plan and the Burgh boys take it. Time to get out…

21'

DODD IS IN!

With the rain drizzling down on Hive, it’s wet out there so we’re keeping it tight and safe as we’re inside Bath’s 22. Mark Bennett took us within spitting distance of the whitewash but was caught by the Bath defence.

But we’re still in this and looking for options on the right wing! Wes Goosen is nearly in using his fast feet, but it’s an offload to Todd Dodd that sees us in! A fantastic try from the flanker as he runs it in between the posts!

Cammy Scott has slotted the ball with ease and we’re up 14-0. MON THE BURGH!

14'

TRRRRYYYY BURGH!

PATRICK HARRISON CRASHED OVER FOR BURGH! A close range score, we’re on the board! Cammy Scott has added the extras and we are 7-0 up!

13'

A busy opening 10

A big five minutes there with Edinburgh camped inside Bath’s territory. It’s slippy out there but the Burgh boys are making the most of ball in hand.

We’ve manged to break within meters of the try line and the referee blows for a penalty to Edinburgh with Bath not rolling away. COME ON LADS!!!!

4'

Nearly in, we go again!

A well controlled line out and maul, the Burgh men are pinged at the breakdown and now Bath look to clear.

3'

Scrum done, time for a line out

A solid scrum for Edinburgh sees the boys in blue retain ball and a glorious kick from Nathan Sweeney sees the ball go deep inside Bath’s 22, chased down by Jordan Edmunds, who puts his opposite man into touch for an Edinburgh line out.

2'

Penalty for Edinburgh, time for the first scrum…

A physical opening minute! After Edinburgh kicked to clear from their 22, Bath gathered and took that ball to meet Edinburgh but a knock on gives Edinburgh a scrum. Let’s see how the forwards pack down.

19:29
