Another penalty follows quickly after, and now Connacht throw into the lineout 10 metres from our line.

A bit of kicking back and forth, and Ross McCann puts a delicate chip over the top. He then puts in a thunderous tackle on the catcher.
But Edinburgh concede the penalty at the breakdown. Connacht throw in just outside our 22 after kicking to touch.

The scrum leads to some kick tennis, which ends with Edinburgh just outside the Connacht 22.
Two phases later, Scott sells a dummy to the defender in the middle of the pitch, and passes inside to Wes Goosen who is clear under the sticks!

Edinburgh have settled after a nervy opening few minutes.
Charlie Shiel box kicks to get out of the 22, and it’s knocked on around halfway by Connacht. We’ll scrum down again.

Shiel breaks up the blind side and offloads just before being put into touch. Edinburgh work it out right, then back to the left where Adam McBurney dots down right in the corner. Conversion drifts wide.
