1872 Cup: Register Your Interest Today

21 Jul 2025

We are excited to unveil the new 1872 Cup logo, marking the next chapter in the story of rugby’s oldest inter-city derby. The updated design reflects our commitment to enhancing the brand of the 1872 Cup while staying true to its rich heritage and tradition.

The new logo features a cleaner and more dynamic design that resonates with today’s audiences. While the look has evolved, the essence of the 1872 Cup remains at its heart, honouring its proud history while embracing the future of the game.

Key highlights of the new design include:

  • A contemporary visual identity that captures the energy and passion of the derby.
  • A balance between tradition and innovation, ensuring the logo remains instantly recognisable to long-time fans while appealing to new audiences.
  • Enhanced versatility, making the logo adaptable across digital and print platforms for a stronger and more unified brand presence.

As we move forward, this modernised logo will serve as a bold emblem of the fierce rivalry, unwavering passion, and enduring spirit that define the 1872 Cup.
