Join us for Festive Fun Day vs Castres Olympique

Get your squad together and join us at Hive Stadium on Saturday 16 December for a Christmas clash against Castres Olympique in the EPCR Challenge Cup (kick-off 1pm).

For the second straight year, it will be ‘Festive Fun Day’ in the Scottish capital, as we bring plenty of Christmas cheer to match day, with a whole host of activities planned to get supporters in the mood for the holiday season.

From Christmas carolling to festive face painting, you don’t want to miss out on a massive day of European action and festive fun – with an earlier kick-off of 1pm perfect for the whole family.

Here’s what’s on as we take on Castres Olympique on Saturday 16 December in the EPCR Challenge Cup

 

The Clubhouse

Fans should be aware that The Clubhouse – located in the Thistle Suite – won’t be open post-match due to Glitterfest. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The Clubhouse will still be open pre-match, where you can grab a drink, catch up with mates and listen to our Christmas carollers!

 

Christmas Carolling

We’ll have Christmas carollers in the The Clubhouse ahead of kick-off – so drop by and singalong to some festive classics while enjoying our fantastic range of food, snacks and beverages.

 

Festive face painting

Nothing gets you in the Christmas spirit like a bit of festive face painting – whether you want some green glitter or Santa Clause on your cheeks, our face painter will be on hand in The Clubhouse ahead of the early 1pm kick-off.

 

Meet Santa!

Mr Clause has bought his ticket for the European clash so keep an eye out for Santa in the Fan Zone where he’ll be on hand to giveaway some special goodies!

 

Live music from Amy Baillie

The Unsigned Stage – situated in the Fan Zone – will once again provide the pre-match soundtrack, with West-Lothian based singer/songwriter Amy Baillie performing ahead of kick-off.

Grab a festive drink in the Fan Zone and listen along to some of Amy’s best tracks as the atmosphere builds for unmissable European rugby!

 

Present donation for Sick Kids visit

The Edinburgh Rugby squad will be making their annual trip to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People later this month and we’re once again asking fans to donate gifts for the players’ visit!

We’ll have present drop off zones situated at turnstile entrances B and D to the stadium – so make so you bring along your gifts for those that need it most this Christmas!

 

Inflatable fun in the Skill Zone

The Skill Zone will be once again be open ahead of kick-off, with plenty of inflatable fun to keep kids of all ages entertained on match day.

Head along to check out the Skill Zone which is situated next to the family-friendly Riverside Stand.
