Brian Halley, Slanj co-owner, said: “We’ve really enjoyed collaborating with Glasgow Warriors in the past and so we were delighted to be asked to design the new special edition Edinburgh Rugby 150thanniversary tartan, commemorating a special season for the capital club.

“Edinburgh is both a city and rugby club steeped in history which made this project even more intriguing and exciting to work on. We hope all Edinburgh Rugby supporters love the new tartan and we’ll no doubt see it out in force at games in seasons to come!”

Designed by Slanj and incorporating colours from the Edinburgh Rugby brand, the tartan showcases the clubs’ dark navy and burnt orange, with flashes of white and grey.

Fans can now purchase tartan kilts with accessories for events and special occasions – or game days, as well as accessing the full collection of Edinburgh tartan items available to buy including trews, scarves, ties and smaller accessories like eye masks, hip flasks and keyrings.

Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director Douglas Struth added: “This has been a brilliant project to collaborate with Slanj Scotland on. The tartan is fantastically designed and properly pays tribute to a special year in the club’s long and storied history.

“With a variety of products available online and in-store, I’d encourage all fans to shop with Slanj and kit themselves out in tartan for the upcoming campaign.”
