We look forward to welcoming you to the game. Check out the information on this page to ensure you're ready for match day at Hive Stadium. Below is the key information for planning your visit, including how to get to the stadium and what you can expect on a typical match day.

Tickets

  • Purchasing Tickets

    The easiest way to browse and purchase match tickets is via our online ticketing site here.

    Subject to availability, tickets will be available to purchase online right up until kick-off – they will automatically be sent to your Scottish Rugby Ticketing App at the time of purchase and can be scanned on your phone.

  • Receiving Tickets

    Your digital match ticket(s) will be delivered to the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App no later than 5 working days prior to the match.

    Please download the app HERE to access your match ticket(s). If you have purchased for family or friends, you must transfer these tickets to each person in your group once they have downloaded the app. (You don’t need to do this for U16 tickets). Click here to view further details on the app.

    If you have not received your match ticket(s) or have a ticket enquiry please contact the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre via email [email protected] or call 0131 378 1600 between 10am-12:30pm/13:30pm-4pm Monday-Tuesday, Thursday-Friday.

  • Keep your app updated

    A new, updated version of the Scottish Rugby Ticketing app will be used in 2026.

    If you already have the Scottish Rugby Ticketing app on your device – and have set your device to auto-update – you will find your match ticket(s) as soon as they have been issued. If your device is not set to auto-update, the next time you access the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App you will be asked to download the latest version.

    Please check your mobile phone number matches the one in your Scottish Rugby ticket account through which you bought your ticket(s) and then download the latest version of the Scottish Rugby Ticketing app HERE. Getting to Hive Stadium

We recommend using public transport to get to and from the games as there is no public parking available at Hive Stadium on matchday - if driving to the ground, there will be parking enforcements in place ticketing cars parked illegally.

  • Where is Hive Stadium?

    Hive Stadium is located to the West of Edinburgh’s city centre.

  • Are there any closures or works that will impact the journey?

    We will endeavour to ensure key updates are added to this page, however for details about all road closures or works impacting the area around Murrayfield, please click here.

    GORGIE ROAD

    Part of Gorgie Road (at Ford’s Road south of Saughton Park) will be shut for up to six months due to Scottish Water works. Lothian Buses have published diversion details here – the routes are affected are 3, 25, X27, X28, 30, 33 N25, N28 and N30.

  • Travelling By Public Transport

    BY TRAM

    Edinburgh Trams runs a fast, frequent service to the entrance of the stadium from locations such as Edinburgh Airport, Ingliston Park and Ride, Edinburgh Gateway and Haymarket. Alight from the Murrayfield Stop.

    Tickets must be purchased prior to boarding trams using the ticket vending machines at trams stops or on the Transport for Edinburgh App.

    BY BUS

    There are many bus services that run throughout the city with the following services passing close to the stadium:

    Lothian Buses:

    • 1, 2, 30 at Westfield Road
    • 3, 25, 33, 38 at Gorgie Road
    • 12, 26, 31 at Corstorphine Road

    Please note, following route changes, the 22 no longer services Westfield Road. Anyone who gets the 22 to the stadium can get off near the old Caledonian Brewery or the Caley Sample Room and walk 15/20 minutes to the stadium.

    • Airlink: 100 at Corstorphine Road
    • First Bus: 21A, 22, 38, 38A at Corstorphine Road
    • Scottish Citylink: 900 at Corstorphine Road

    BY TRAIN

    There are two main train stations in Edinburgh. The stadium is 20 minutes by tram/train from Edinburgh Waverley and just seven minutes by tram (or a 20 minute walk) from Edinburgh Haymarket.

    Edinburgh’s stations are part of the East Coast mainline which links Aberdeen to London. There are also regular trains between Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. More info on trains.

    BY AIR

    Edinburgh Airport offers direct flights to cities including Belfast, Bristol, Cardiff, Dublin, London, Rome and Paris. The airport is located only six miles to the west of the stadium. Supporters can travel to and from the airport with ease by using public transport, which runs regularly and frequently.

  • Travelling By Foot

    Hive Stadium is approximately a 45-minute walk from Edinburgh city centre and 20-minutes from Haymarket. From Princes Street head to Shandwick Place, which leads on to Atholl Place, then onto Haymarket Terrace. Continue and either turn left onto Roseburn Street at the Roseburn Bar (for the East/West Link) or continue and turn left onto Riversdale Crescent at the Murrayfield Bar (for the Ice Rink or Riversdale entrances).

  • Travelling By Bike

    Bicycle parking is available at Edinburgh Rugby matches. Supporters arriving at the East/West Link will be advised to park their bikes at the tram stop. Those arriving via Gate D will be able to park their bikes in Saughton Hall Car Park.

    Please note, Edinburgh Rugby takes no responsibility for theft or damage to bikes left at this location.

  • Travelling By Car

    There is no parking at the stadium for Season Ticket Members or general supporters.

    Edinburgh has seven Park & Ride sites in and around the city. The Ingliston Park & Ride would be the most convenient for accessing the stadium. For more information on the Park & Ride services click here.

    Please note, that there is no vehicle access to the stadium via Roseburn Crescent.

    PARKING ENFORCEMENTS IN LOCAL AREA
    People driving to the stadium are encouraged to be mindful of residents in the local area. There will be parking enforcements in place ticketing cars parked illegally.

    BLUE BADGE PARKING: There are a number of Blue Badge parking spaces available for wheelchair and accessible ticket holders. Parking for Blue Badge holders will be in Saughtonhall Car Park on matchday and access is via Saughtonhall Bridge

  • Arriving at the Stadium

    Hospitality turnstiles will open 2 hours before kick-off*

    General turnstiles will open 1.5 hours before kick-off*

    Access to the stadium is via the East/West Link (near the Murrayfield Tram stop) and through Saughtonhall Car Park – via Riversdale Bridge or Saughtonhall Bridge*

    *Unless otherwise communicated.

  • Retail

    The Scottish Rugby Store is located in the South West corner of Scottish Gas Murrayfield. The store is open during Edinburgh Rugby fixtures for supporters.

    You can also visit the Scottish Rugby Store online to get your favourite items.

  • Entertainment

    There are always a variety of activities taking place at Hive Stadium for fans to enjoy each week, from the Scottish Building Society Passing Challenge, to our Unsigned Stage, signing sessions to face painting, there is something for everyone!

    Keep an eye out for our team mascot Flinty, who will be out and about the Hive Stadium Fanzone pre-match and around the stadium during the game

  • Food and Drink

    There are plenty of spots around the Hive Stadium Fanzone where you can quench your thirst or satisfy your hunger on the match day. We cater to a wide range of dietary requirements including vegetarian and vegan.

    Our food offerings include Salt & Chilli, Greek Gyros, Burger & Fries, Coffee & Doughnuts. Please note the food options may vary from match to match.

    If you prefer to be indoors, the Clubhouse – located in the Thistle Suite – is open for all supporters both pre and post-match. Check out the menu here. Food is available pre-match only.

  • Digital Matchday Programme

    Season Ticket Members and Castle Club Members will all be sent a link to a digital matchday programme ahead of our home fixtures (excluding pre-season)

    The programme will then be made available on this page.

    We do not be produce a physical matchday programme.

  • Bringing a Baby to the Game

    Tickets: From the terms and conditions

    4.3. Children under the age of two (2) will be admitted to the Stadium for Matches free of charge if they are accompanied by an adult with a valid Ticket for the same Match. Children aged two (2) or over must have a valid Ticket and be accompanied by an adult with a valid Ticket for the same Match. Persons under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

    Bags

    Larger bags are allowed for health reasons or for parents with supplies for young children. Bags may be searched when entering the venue.

    Changing Facilities

    Baby changing facilities are available around Hive Stadium.

    Buggies

    Buggies can be left at the Gatehouse on arrival at the stadium where it will be stored for you. You can then collect it here post-match.

     

  • Bag Policy

    Please avoid bringing a bag to the game if possible.

    An A4 bag is the maximum size permitted at the Hive Stadium and all bags will be searched before entry.

    Bags larger than A4 size will not be permitted. There will be no bag drop facilities.

    The only exceptions are bags required for health reasons (including parents with young children). We assume no responsibility for bags in venue.

    There is a max 500ml limit for liquids being brought in to the ground, and the products must be sealed.

    Unless you have health or childcare requirements plan ahead and leave your bags at home, in your hotel, in your car, on the coach or at one of 13 bag-drop/left luggage facilities across Edinburgh (web links listed below).

    As all bags will be searched (medical and childcare exemptions apply) so allow plenty of time to get to your seats ahead of kick-off.

  • Payments

    Hive Stadium is a cashless stadium – payments can only be made by card.

     

  • Lost Property

    If you lose any property within the ground, please contact the nearest steward.

    If you discover the loss after the game, please send a description of the item and your seat details to [email protected] so we can investigate.

     

  • Prohibited Items

    Please see below for details on what is/isn’t allowed into the stadium:

    Flask of tea or coffee or any other liquids
    Flasks are not permitted. The contents of any flasks will be tipped out and the containers will have to be left outside the stadium.

    Food
    You may bring small amounts of food into the stadium for your own use. Large picnic hampers are not permitted.

    Juice/water
    In line with other major venues, only sealed plastic bottles of water or soft drinks up to 500mls can be brought into the stadium. No cans will be permitted. Bins will be available at turnstiles for disposing of items.

    Air horns
    Only mechanised air horns (blow-through or wind-up) are allowed inside the stadium. Pressurised containers are not permitted.

    Camera
    Small amateur cameras are permitted, but large professional cameras are not. By small, we mean pocket-size digital cameras or SLR cameras with zoom lenses no more powerful than 300mm. Tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted.

    Fireworks, flares, smoke bombs or any other pyrotechnic
    Possession may constitute a criminal offence and customers found to be in possession of such items will be referred to Police.

    Knives, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items
    Possession may constitute a criminal offence and customers found to be in possession of such items will be referred to Police.

    Banners/flags with offensive, abusive or discriminatory slogans
    Banners of this type may constitute a criminal offence and customers in possession of such items may be referred to Police.
