Enter the It’s Good 2 Give half-time challenge!

17 Dec 2025

We are giving two lucky supporters the chance to step out from the stands and onto the hallowed turf to compete for glory at the 1872 Cup decider!

We are delighted to announce the launch of our half-time competition, proudly sponsored by our official charity partner, It’s Good 2 Give.

The Challenge: The ‘It’s Good 2 Give Gauntlet’

This isn’t your average half-time stroll. We are looking for two contestants to go head-to-head in a test of skill, speed, and nerve in front of thousands of fans from East and West!

The ‘It’s Good 2 Give Gauntlet’ will see our participants push their rugby credentials to the limit. Starting at the whistle, contestants will need to navigate a series of high-pressure challenges:

  • The Pick and Go: Show your strength and technique right from the off.
  • The Highball: Keep your eyes on the prize as the ball spirals from the Edinburgh sky.
  • The Gauntlet: Put your footwork to the test as you dodge obstacles to reach the final stage.
  • The Drop Goal: Find your inner fly-half and slot the ball through the uprights to stop the clock.

The contestant who completes the gauntlet in the fastest time will not only earn the respect of the Scottish Gas Murrayfield faithful but will also walk away with two tickets to our Investec Champions Cup clash against Gloucester at Hive Stadium next month.

It is the perfect way to keep the world-class rugby action going into the New Year as we take on elite English Premiership opposition under the Friday night lights.

How to Enter

Supporters have until midnight on Monday 22 December to submit their entry below for a chance to be selected.

The two chosen contestants will be contacted ahead of the match day on the 27th of December to confirm their place in the line-up.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of the 1872 Cup story and support the incredible work of It’s Good 2 Give while you’re at it. [T&Cs]
