Centre James Lang, number eight Magnus Bradbury, flanker Hamish Watson, and stand-off Ross Thompson all excelled in a month that saw the capital side beat the Lions and Bulls at home, before taking a springbok laden Sharks side to the death at Hive Stadium.

James Lang
Lang was in ferocious form in April, carrying with purpose while regularly linking play for the capital’s dangerous wing-men.
The centre has rarely been on the scoresheet, often providing for others, but enjoyed a bumper month with a brace of tries against the Bulls, before scoring acrobatically in the corner against the Sharks.
Magnus Bradbury
The big number-eight continued the form that has seen him regularly nominated for the player of the month award, carrying into blind alleyways to get the side go-forward.
Bradbury, who captained the side away against Zebre, crashed over for a crucial score against the Bulls for his fourth try of the season.
Ross Thompson
Stand-off Thompson made the number 10 jersey his own in April, steering the capital side to impressive displays from fly-half.
Thompson notched an impressive 14 points from the boot against the Bulls, including a crucial penalty to keep capital noses in front amidst a fierce comeback from the Pretoria men.
Hamish Watson
‘Mish’ rolled back the years in April to produce a stellar month in the Edinburgh pack, proving a nuisance at the breakdown and a terror in defence for opposition teams.
A standout moment was Watson’s vital goal-line turnover against Zebre in Parma, turning the tide with his side under huge pressure.
