Goosen wins Scottish Building Society POTM: March
Fullback Wes Goosen has today been named Scottish Building Society Player of the Month for March, picking up the fan vote for an impressive month in the capital.
The live wire fullback has been electric form for the capital, playing every single minute of the season, and continued his form through March with impressive displays against the Dragons and Benetton.
As part of the award, Goosen is able to donate £500 – courtesy of Scottish Building Society – to the club’s charity partner, It’s Good 2 Give.
On the donation, Goosen said: “It’s awesome to be able to give the £500 donation to It’s Good 2 Give. We had volunteers from the charity in this week to chat to the boys about what they do, so it’s great to be able to give the money to such a worthy cause.”
‘Goose’ has enjoyed a whirlwind couple of months, claiming his 50th appearance for the club, and continues to be the only capital man to be ever-present this campaign.
Goosen regularly provided spark in attack for the men in blue and orange, beating eight defenders and making three line breaks with ball in hand, whilst also making two line-breaks assists for his teammates.
