Edinburgh Rugby backs My Name’5 Doddie at 1872 Cup decider
Edinburgh Rugby will once again support the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation at December’s 1872 Cup decider against Glasgow Warriors at Scottish Gas Murrayfield.
With tickets for the second leg of world rugby’s oldest intercity derby on general sale today, supporters have the opportunity to make a donation to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation when booking seats for the match.
Fans can choose to contribute £1, £3, or £5 to the charity, directly supporting their mission to find effective treatments for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
This partnership marks a continuation of Edinburgh Rugby’s commitment to supporting the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, with Doddie Aid – the mass-participation exercise event – set to kick-off in January shortly after the 1872 Cup decider.
Nicola Roseman, CEO of the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, expressed her gratitude for Edinburgh Rugby’s support:
“We are grateful to Edinburgh Rugby for their generosity in allowing fans to contribute directly to My Name’5 Doddie Foundation when purchasing tickets. This initiative will help make a real difference as we seek effective treatments for MND and we’d like to thank Edinburgh Rugby for all of their support.”
The 1872 Cup decider on Saturday 28 December (kick-off 3pm) promises to a blockbuster encounter between East and West, and fans can now secure their tickets and make a difference by donating to the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation!
