Nominees announced for November Scottish Building Society Player of the Month
The four nominees for November’s Scottish Building Society Player of the Month have today been announced!
Wes Goosen, Glen Young, Jamie Ritchie and Connor Boyle are all nominated by the coaching team after impressing in BKT United Rugby Championship games against Leinster, Connacht, Bulls and Benetton throughout November.
The winner of the award will have £500 donated to their cause or charity of choice, courtesy of Main Club Partner Scottish Building Society.

Wes Goosen – VOTE NOW!
The winger has been one of Edinburgh Rugby’s most consistent performers to start the year, continuing the form that also saw him nominated for October’s Player of the Month.
Goosen kicked-off November with a well-taken score in the home win over Connacht, while his work rate and kick-chase played a vital role in the following week’s bonus-point victory against Vodacom Bulls.

Glen Young – VOTE NOW!
The Jed-Forest RFC product has started the new campaign like a man on fire, bringing grit and steel to the pack, while featuring in all of the club’s home fixtures throughout November.
The lock has formed a formidable partnership with co-captain Grant Gilchrist in the middle-row with the duo’s skill set complimenting each other across the park.
Not just a brilliant lineout option, Young is a quality operator in the loose and will often be found on the shoulder of a line breaks.

Jamie Ritchie – VOTE NOW!
The back-row returned to fitness against Vodacom Bulls where he put in a typical all-action and ‘vintage Ritchie’ performance to help the capital side claim a deserved victory against the South African franchise.
Ritchie made his 100th appearance for his hometown team against Benetton on ‘Club Appreciation Night’ and has looked every-bit the international class back-row that sees him skipper his country.

Connor Boyle – VOTE NOW!
The back-row is another player that has put his hand up for the team’s most impressive performer to start the year, bringing his game to a new level in 2023/24.
Boyle grabbed a try in the away defeat to Leinster before being named BKT United Rugby Championship Player of the Match in the home win against Vodacom Bulls after a typically abrasive and menacing performance in the back-row.
