19 Jul 2024

The Edinburgh Rugby squad is set to return to pre-season training on Monday (22 July), marking the official end of the summer break and the beginning of preparations for the 2024/25 campaign.

Senior and pro-academy players return to Hive Stadium alongside some exciting new faces like prop Paul Hill and centre Mosese Tuipolou who’ve joined from Northampton Saints and Waratahs respectively.

This initial pre-season block will focus on building fitness and sharpening skills as the team gears up for their first competitive outing – a Scottish Building Society pre-season clash against Gloucester at Hive Stadium on Friday 13 September (kick-off 7.30pm).

Fans can get a glimpse of the squad in action at Linlithgow RFC’s Mains Park on Friday 9 August (2-4pm) where the club will be holding a special Rugby on the Road community day.

Head Coach Sean Everitt expressed his enthusiasm for the team’s return, highlighting the collective drive to improve on last season.

“There’s a real sense of excitement amongst the players and staff as we get back to pre-season training. This first block will be crucial in laying the foundations for a strong season. We’ll be working hard on fitness and getting everyone back up to speed, while also integrating our new signings and developing our attacking and defensive patterns.”

“We’re also looking forward to getting back in front of our supporters as soon as possible. The chance for the fans to see the squad in action and meet the new players at Linlithgow RFC on the 9th of August is a fantastic opportunity, and we’re sure it’ll be a great community day.”
