Luke Crosbie

The back-row has been a machine in the Edinburgh pack, leading from the front while never shirking a carry or tackle.

Named in the Scotland squad for the Autumn Nations Series, Crosbie skippered Edinburgh in back-to-back away wins against Zebre Parma and Cardiff Rugby – two games in which the back-row was a dominant force.

Crosbie found himself on the scoresheet not once, but twice in October, crossing the whitewash against both Benetton and Cardiff.

Chosen charity: Edinburgh Children’s Hospital

Matt Currie

The Academy graduate and outside centre has been made to wait for his opportunity with Mark Bennett in such fine form for both club and country, however Currie has stepped up to the plate in impressive fashion this past month.

Handed starts at home to Emirates Lions and away to Zebre Parma and Cardiff, Currie has not only showcased his excellent defensive abilities, but his attacking threats too.

Against Zebre Parma, Currie finished the match with two try assists and a well-taken score to his name to ultimately be named JBC Peak Performer for the week.

Chosen charity: It’s Good 2 Give

Viliame Mata

Big Bill has started the season in red hot form after working his way back from a knee injury that kept the number 8 out of action for most of the 21/22 campaign.

Mata crossed the whitewash against Emirates Lions, while his player of the match performance against Zebre Parma capped off a day in which the number 8 became the first non-Scottish qualified player to reach 100 appearances for the club.

Mata looks back to his very best and will champing at the bit to take on his Scotland teammates when Fiji visit BT Murrayfield in the Autumn Nations Series this Saturday 5 November.

Chosen charity: Edinburgh Children’s Hospital

Wes Goosen

The man known as ‘Goose’ has been made to wait for his Edinburgh Rugby debut due to injury after joining the club from Hurricanes this past Summer.

It’s safe to say his first outing for the capital was worth the wait as he grabbed a try on debut in an all-action, 80-minute performance in Parma.

Goosen looked even more impressive in Sunday’s road win at Cardiff Arms Park and came up big with a late tackle and turnover that all but sealed the victory.
