Main Club Partner Scottish Building Society’s logo once again features proudly on the front of both shirts, with the kit available exclusively now at the Scottish Rugby Store at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, and online at shop.scottishrugby.org. The kit will be available from other retailers from 23 August.

The club is also excited to announce that a women’s fit home replica shirt will be available online and in-store at the Scottish Rugby Store.

The official training jersey is also now available to buy from the Scottish Rugby Store.

The kit has once again been designed and created by Official Kit Supplier Macron, with each jersey carrying the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, which certifies that the garment is designed and developed at the Macron Campus in northern Italy.

Home kit design

Inspired by the capital city topography, the new home jersey ‘Built on 7 Hills’, pays tribute to the Scottish capital’s historic peaks – Arthur’s Seat, Blackford Hill, Braid Hill, Craiglockhart Hill, Corstorphine Hill, Calton Hill and Castle Rock – with the contour lines of the famous hills prominently displayed on the front of the eye-catching shirt.

The new home kit is once again navy blue with a polo neck detailed in ‘reflex blue’. The sleeve cuffs are designed in the same colour and feature a thin orange line.

A sweatband around the inside of the neck is customised with the club’s strapline ‘ALWAYS EDINBURGH’ – celebrating the team’s history through both the amateur and professional eras – while ‘BUILT ON SEVEN HILLS’ is embroidered on the back of the neck, acknowledging the design of this year’s home jersey.

The home kit is completed with navy blue shorts that repeat the shirt’s contour graphics on both sides, as well as navy blue socks, which feature a reflex blue top and thin orange line.

The ‘Macron Hero’ features on the front of each sock, while, at the same height on the reverse, the year 1872 commemorates the club’s founding and first-ever match.

Alternate kit design

Edinburgh Rugby returns to a bright and bold orange alternate jersey design for 2024/25.

The shirt features a polo neck while the sleeve cuffs are formed in white with a thin navy-blue line. The front and back of the shirt, alongside the sleeves, feature a shaded effect with tone-on-tone, dye-sub graphics composed of thin horizontal lines.

The neck of the shirt has the same custom sweatband as the home kit, however this time bearing the words ‘EST 1872’, celebrating the year the club was established as an amateur district.

The alternate kit features clean white shorts with orange bands down the sides that repeat the shirt’s graphics. The socks are orange with a white top containing a thin navy-blue line. A white Macron Hero appears on the front just above the ankle, while the date 1872, also in white, occupies the same position at the back.

About Macron’s kit

Like all the technical sportswear Macron produces for its partner clubs, these new ‘Body Fit’ shirts are made from ‘Eco Fabric’, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic.

In particular, the shirts are made mainly from ‘Eco Armevo’ but with ‘Eco Boditex’ and ‘Eco Strong Mesh’ inserts for superior strength and performance, reduced weight and improved breathability.

Along with all other garments in Macron’s Edinburgh Rugby teamwear line, the new 2024/25 men’s kits can be purchased from the section of the macron.com website dedicated to the club.

Both kits are available exclusively at the Scottish Rugby Store at Scottish Gas Murrayfield and online at shop.scottishrugby.org now. Available from all other retailers from 23 August 2024.
