Ritchie to hit 50 caps vs USA
Club centurion Jamie Ritchie will hit a half-century of caps for Scotland this weekend, starting in Friday's Skyscanner Americas tour match against USA at Audi Field in Washington DC.
The flanker, who is also named as vice-captain for the match, makes his 50th cap on the continent that he made his first, having debuted on the 2018 North America Tour.
He is joined in the pack by Edinburgh duo of Pierre Schoeman (loosehead prop) and Ewan Ashman (hooker).
Duhan van der Merwe returns to Scotland’s starting lineup, with the giant winger one try away from equalling the national men’s record for tries scored.
Capital trio of Luke Crosbie, Ross Thompson and freshly capped Matt Currie will look to impact the game if called upon from the replacements.
