Edinburgh Rugby land eye-catching partnership

20 Sep 2024

Edinburgh Rugby is delighted to announce a new, major three-year partnership with Vision Scotland – Scotland’s leading eye care experts – as Official Eyecare Specialist Partner of the capital club.

Vision Scotland will feature prominently on the back of Edinburgh Rugby’s home and alternate Macron match shirts, starting with this Friday night’s BKT United Rugby Championship opener against Leinster at Hive Stadium.

Vision Scotland have also secured the individual player sponsorship of Edinburgh Rugby centurion and Scotland internationalist, Jamie Ritchie, which will see the brand further associated with the back-row’s forthcoming campaign.

Vision Scotland operates state-of-the-art hospital-based refractive eye centres across Scotland, offering a wide range of eye care services, including cataract surgery and other procedures, with the partnership designed to bring the business further into national focus.

Jonathan Ross, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Vision Scotland said: “I am thrilled that Vision Scotland is partnering with Edinburgh Rugby. As a lifelong fan of the club, I’ve had the privilege of watching them flourish over the years, and I am delighted that we now have the opportunity to support them in such a meaningful way. This partnership allows us to play a crucial role in their vision care and overall health, ensuring they remain at the top of their game.”

He continued: “From a professional standpoint, this collaboration represents the perfect synergy between two institutions that consistently strive for greatness. Vision Scotland is known for its precision and expertise in the operating room, and Edinburgh Rugby embodies the same level of dedication and skill on the field. Together, we will continue to push boundaries, achieve excellence, and drive success.

“We look forward to a dynamic and fruitful collaboration over the next three years, as we work hand-in-hand with Edinburgh Rugby to achieve greatness both on and off the field.”

Douglas Struth, Managing Director of Edinburgh Rugby, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Vision Scotland to our growing commercial family. Both organisations share a deep commitment to our respective customers and a passion for excellence.

“This partnership is a testament to the club’s continued growth and appeal to leading brands. We’re relishing the opportunity to work with Vision Scotland to really bring this partnership to life over the next three years.”
