Saltire Roofing & Building join as Community Partner

5 Feb 2025

Edinburgh Rugby has today partnered with Saltire Roofing & Building who come on board as a new Community Partner.

New this season, the Community Partner tier will see Saltire Roofing and other businesses aligned closely to the club’s outreach programmes and initiatives.

Edinburgh Rugby and Saltire Roofing are set to launch ‘Love your Club’ later this week, a new community initiative where fans can nominate their local club to win 30 tickets to Zebre Parma on Valentine’s Day (14 February), plus a visit from an Edinburgh Rugby player.

As part of the partnership, Saltire Roofing will also take sponsorship of up-and-coming hooker, Harri Morris, who grabbed his first score for the club earlier this month in the BKT United Rugby Championship clash with Scarlets.

Saltire Roofing & Building Managing Director Steven McIntosh said:

“This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to give back to local communities. Saltire already supports a number of local schools, charities and community groups and we’re excited to extend our reach by working with Edinburgh Rugby.

We are proud to sponsor talented young hooker, Harri Morris and we look forward to supporting Edinburgh Rugby in promoting the sport at a grassroots level, inspiring more young people and giving them the chance to get involved.

“Together, we’ll achieve great things and we can’t wait to get to work.”

A family-run business, Saltire Roofing & Building operate across Edinburgh, The Lothians, Fife, Falkirk and the Scottish Borders.

Saltire Roofing & Building is already embedded in the local communities in which they build – sponsoring both Hearts Walking Football Team and the development of junior golf at Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club – while they continue to be a long-standing backer of local charity, Cash for Kids.

Edinburgh Rugby Managing Director, Douglas Struth, added: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Saltire Roofing & Building to the club as Community Partner. Their commitment to the local area is clear, and the launch of ‘Love Your Club’ is a fantastic example of that commitment in action, offering a brilliant opportunity for local clubs to benefit.

“It’s exciting to see Saltire Roofing & Building get involved immediately and we look forward to working closely with them on this and other community initiatives. Their support, including the sponsorship of a promising young talent like Harri Morris, is invaluable to the club.”
