Inside-centre Thomson joined the club from Watsonians FC ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The abrasive centre was a key figure in the Scotland U20 triumph in this year’s World Rugby Trophy.
Thomson made his Edinburgh debut against Connacht in a vital win at the end of the 2024/25 season, before earning the Player of the Match award in his first start for the club against Ospreys in November 2025.
