British & Irish Lion Ashman claimed the Scottish Building Society Men’s Player of the Season award in recognition of an extraordinary campaign that saw him establish himself as one of the standout performers for club and country.
It was a night to remember for the Scotland international, who also lifted the Men’s Players’ Player of the Season award – voted for by his fellow squad members – completing a remarkable double that underlines just how highly his teammates rate his contribution.

Lauryn McGrotty was voted Women’s Players’ Player of the Season
Ashman had already collected the Caullie Lug at Friday night’s home finale against Connacht at Hive Stadium – the only fan-voted award of the season, recognising a player’s commitment to the Edinburgh jersey – making him the night’s most decorated winner.
Catriona Moody was named Scottish Building Society Women’s Player of the Season following an equally impressive campaign, with her performances throughout the year reflecting her status as one of the most impressive young back-rowers in the Scottish women’s game.
Lauryn McGrotty was voted Women’s Players’ Player of the Season by her Edinburgh teammates, a tribute to the impact she has made both on and off the pitch across the course of her first campaign in the Celtic Challenge.

Findlay Thomson took home Men’s Academy Player of the Season
Centre Findlay Thomson was named Men’s Academy Player of the Season after a breakthrough year in the capital midfield, while Lisa Brown claimed the Women’s Young Player of the Season award following an equally impressive campaign at centre.
Luke Crosbie received the Our Burgh Community Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the local community throughout 2025/26, demonstrating a commitment that extends well beyond the rugby pitch.
The evening’s Try of the Season awards brought two moments of real quality to the fore.
Nicole Marlow claimed the Women’s Try of the Season for her finish against Glasgow Warriors during Edinburgh’s 31-25 intercity derby victory in December, while Glen Young took home the Men’s Try of the Season for his score against the Hollywoodbets Sharks — a try that saw him combine with fellow lock Grant Gilchrist in a moment that had Hive Stadium on its feet.
