Senior men return for pre-season
15 Jul 2026Edinburgh Rugby's senior men's have reported back to Scottish Gas Murrayfield this week as pre-season training gets underway on Wednesday (15 July).
Those players not involved in Scotland’s Nations Series or the Junior World Cup will begin the first block of pre-season, kick-starting preparations for the 2026/27 campaign.
Summer signings James Grayson, Alec Hepburn and Geordie Gwynn will all be involved in the early sessions in EH12, getting their first taste of pre-season with their new club.
Players involved in both the Autumn Nations Series and Junior World Cup will join preparations at a later date following a summer break.
Edinburgh’s pre-season campaign begins with a Scottish Building Society clash against Ulster at Hive Stadium on Friday 4 September (kick-off 7.45pm), before the two sides meet again just three weeks later.
This time in BKT United Rugby Championship action, as Edinburgh open their league campaign away to Ulster at the Affidea Stadium on Friday 25 September (kick-off 7.45pm).
