Edinburgh to face Harlequins in pre-season friendly at The Stoop
28 Jun 2026Edinburgh Rugby will travel to The Stoop to face Harlequins in a pre-season friendly on Friday 18 September (kick-off 7.45pm).
The fixture will mark the first meeting between the two clubs since the 2016/17 season, when Edinburgh won home and away European fixtures against the Gallagher PREM side.
Edinburgh ran out 36-35 winners in a breathless European classic at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in October 2016.
The return fixture at The Stoop in January 2017 saw Edinburgh triumph again, 23–18, with tries from Fraser McKenzie and Allan Dell and 11 points from the boot of Duncan Weir sealing a famous away win in South-West London.
The pre-season fixture will give Sean Everitt’s squad the opportunity to build momentum ahead of the 2026/27 BKT URC campaign which starts with an away clash against Ulster the following weekend (Friday 25 September), before a home opener against DHL Stormers at Hive Stadium on Friday 2 October.
Tickets for the pre-season fixture with Harlequins will go on general sale at 11am on Friday 10 July, priced from £20 for adults and £10 for U18s. Tickets are available via the Harlequins website.
