Edinburgh Rugby announced the signing of Scotland international centre James Lang from Harlequins ahead of the 2021/22 season
A product of the London Irish Academy at U16 and U17, Lang played for Middlesex County at U16 and U18 levels and was sports captain (2011) for his school, Ashford CofE, before earning his first Scotland call for the U18 side in 2013 [pictured above].
The centre joined Harlequins in July 2016 from Rugby Gogledd Cymru (RGC) in North Wales where he developed under the tutelage of Phil Davies.
Lang debuted for the club away to Exeter Chiefs in September 2016 and, in his first year with the club, scored the winning penalty in the late comeback win away to Gloucester.
The centre became he 1092nd player to represent Scotland when he started the national team’s 48-10 win over Canada on the 2018 Summer tour.
Lang made his Edinburgh Rugby debut from the bench in the home United Rugby Championship win over Scarlets in September 2021.
