Festive derby against Glasgow Warriors headlines a run of three straight home games at Hive Stadium.
Edinburgh Rugby can today confirm their fixtures for the 2026/27 Celtic Challenge, with Louise Dalgliesh’s side opening their campaign on the road against Irish outfit Clovers on Saturday 5 December (kick-off 12 noon).
The capital gets its first look at the new-look squad a week later, as Welsh side Gwalia Lightning visit for Edinburgh’s home opener on Saturday 12 December (kick-off 1pm).
The standout date in the diary follows seven days on. Glasgow Warriors make the trip east for the first instalment of the derby at Hive Stadium on Saturday 19 December (kick-off 3pm), the perfect pre-Christmas showdown.
The club then completes the run of three home games on the bounce after the festive break, hosting Wolfhounds on Sunday 10 January (kick-off 2pm).
A trip to Wales to face Gwalia Lightning follows on Saturday 16 January (kick-off 12noon), before Clovers come to the capital for their return fixture on Saturday 23 January (kick-off 3pm).
February brings a demanding finish, with three of Edinburgh’s four remaining fixtures on the road.
Away trips to Brython Thunder on Saturday 6 February (kick-off 2.30pm) and Wolfhounds on Saturday 13 February (kick-off 2pm) are followed by the month’s only home outing, when Brython Thunder visit on Saturday 20 February (kick-off 1pm).
Edinburgh’s campaign then concludes in the west, as they make the short trip along the M8 to face Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun, in the return leg of the Scottish derby on Friday 26 February (kick-off 7.30pm).
Edinburgh Rugby head coach, Louise Dalgliesh, said: “It’s brilliant to have the fixtures confirmed. As a group we can now properly map out the season, and you can feel the anticipation starting to build.
“To kick off with two home games in that first block in December is fantastic. Welcoming Gwalia Lightning and then Glasgow in the derby right before Christmas, in front of our own supporters, is exactly the kind of start we want.”
Dalgliesh continued: “Our squad is building nicely, we’ve got a strong group of young players coming through at Edinburgh who are extremely excited for their chance to represent the club, and alongside them the key international players who have signed over the summer add significant value and experience.
“My job now is getting the cohesion in our squad right and preparing them in the best way possible for those early fixtures”
